I need those tomatoes!  There must be an easier way.  I’m definitely starting Pomodoro when I get back from Pretoria.

It is 02:20 (even though the timestamp of this entry will say that it is still Sunday evening), and tomorrow…I mean today I have to get up at 06:00 to get to university early enough to do everything I have to do.  It is going to be a big day.  My undergraduate classes start, I have to make sure that the Honours courses start right and that the schedule is OK, and then there are many peripheral arrangements that still need to be sorted out before my trip.

On the whole I don’t feel too bad about this weekend.  Did a whole lot of work on the SE course and prepared my slides for FSMNLP.  One serious problem is that every now and then random todo items pop into my head.  I try to write all of them down, but it is inevitable that I will forget something.  As long as it is not something important, I guess it will be OK.

One example: I love James’ “Laid” album and I was under the impression that this was just about all they ever put out.  I mentioned the band to Willem on Friday and learned that this is not entirely true.  In fact, they have been silently productive — at least silent from my perspective.  I never hear about them in…well, in the media I guess.  But the same is probably true of Del Amitri.  A chance encounter in Metso or otherwise I would not know of them.  So, somewhere I have to write down to consider the “best” of the James albums for my next virtual shopping trip.  This will probably be at the end of August when the next season of House is released.

Sigh.  Still half an hour’s work to do.
